Job description
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic purchaser to manage the procurement process in retail sector. You will be expected to analyse existing contracts, seek opportunities to renegotiate costs, improve commercial benefits and eliminate potential risks. You will also be a key role in the team, influencing best practice in procurement, and executing strategic plans in line with business goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Determines what goods, services and equipment need to be sourced based on both customers’ need and company’s requirement
- Leads in the daily operations of managing and coordinating the purchasing
- Reviews products and suppliers continuously and produces analysis reports with a view to negotiating procurement deals
- Ensures products are received in a condition consistent with the original request and any quality issues are addressed with suppliers
- Manages stock of retail finished goods and consumables and product configuration
- Arranges for quality checks of incoming goods and ensures suppliers deliver on time
- Builds collaborative supplier relationships to ensure service levels are met
- Sources new and review existing merchandise to ensure products remain competitive
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarine
- Familiar with luxury goods
- Experience in purchasing sector
- Numeracy skills in order to analyze facts and figures
- Strong analytical ability to adapt to different client needs
- A flair for negotiation and networking
- Time management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines
