The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our growing finance team in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

Our kitchens in Thirsk and Kinmel produce dry, wet, and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.
Key Accountabilities:
- To accurately record and process purchase ledger transactions on a timely basis
- Timely processing of supplier invoices and completion of supplier statement reconciliations. Chase business stakeholders for purchase order raising and receipting
- Manage supplier queries via the accounts payable inbox and other means of supplier communication. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders where necessary
- Processing new supplier details and accurate supplier details changes on a timely basis, with appropriate verification.
- Keeping up to date with latest fraud information and ensuring that supplier ledger and payment controls are appropriate in light of the latest information
- Provide cover for the weekly payment run and payment run postings
- Take part in system testing and process changes where applicable
- Input into weekly KPI’s for Accounts Payable
- Assistance with other finance related ad hoc tasks where necessary
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in same or similar role
- Ability to work in a fast pace busy finance department
- Highly organised with ability to multi task
- Demonstrates attention to detail and processes with accuracy
- Positive approach to work and problem solving
- Good Excel and Finaance system skills
