Job description
Solutions for Public Health (SPH) is looking for an experienced public health researcher to join a small public health consultancy team in Oxfordshire. You will take an active role in complex healthcare public health and health improvement project work, including leading on projects. You will be involved in developing project proposals and bids for future work; engaging with clients in local authority, NHS England, charities, and across the NHS; and be key in delivering rapid evidence reviews and conducting data analyses for needs assessments.
You will plan and work on a range of complex, short-term commissioned project work in the areas of Healthcare Public Health and Health Improvement, which encompasses evidence reviews, service reviews and evaluations, consultations, public health surveys/audits, health needs assessments and other public health projects spanning care and client groups.
Carry out a range of evidence review work including systematically conducted rapid evidence reviews, evidence maps, and evidence gap research, with training and supervision regarding precise methodology where required.
Contribute to the discussion and preparation of tender responses for project work and draft written responses to answer specific service questions.
Assess, collate, analyse and interpret data and information from a wide range of sources including demographic, activity, local authority and other data, selecting from a range of options the most appropriate methodology and data source to suit specific projects.
Work independently; monitoring and adjusting own workload to meet the demands of range of existing and new project work with competing demands and timeframes and which span multiple agencies and locations.
