Position Summary
As a Public Area Cleaner at St Pancras, you are a key member of the hotels team. You are responsible for cleaning and maintaining high standards in all the hotel Public areas, Back of House Changing rooms and corridors, Public toilets, Spa, Meeting Rooms, Chambers Club, Booking Office, The Hansom and MI+ME.
You’ll need to know your stuff:
- Clean public and employee restrooms and showers.
- Clean glass in public and employee areas.
- Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Dust surfaces in assigned area.
- Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
- Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
- Clean and maintain lights
- Hoover and dust corridors, clean fire doors and brasses.
- Ensure all public areas correspond with lists given, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Hoover and dust function / meeting rooms
- Regular cleaning of public toilet areas and replenish toiletries, including leisure club if required.
- Regular cleaning of the Spa, Chambers Club, Booking Office, The Hansom and Mi+Me facilities and Meeting Rooms
- Sanitise office space, canteen, Associate locker room & toilets
- Use the appropriate PPE equipment as per most current Marriott UK guideline
- Frequent cleaning of touchpoints in line with guidance from the hotel management.
- Fill all hand sanitizer stations as required
- Be aware of hotel’s layout and facilities.
You’ll be expected to deliver on the following:
- Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
- Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
- Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
- Stay up to date on what is going on in the locale and ensure you communicate this information to guests in accordance with the navigator program
- Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.
- Assist other ambassadors to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
- Tag, store, and retrieve luggage from luggage storage, providing guests with proper claim tickets for their luggage.
