This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the London/ Head Office. However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises.
The salary range for this role is set at £33,900.00 - £48,700.00

About the role
The Public Affairs team is responsible for all aspects of external engagement with Government, politicians and policy makers, ensuring they understand the Partnership’s approach and priorities and influencing policy to drive benefits for Partners and the Partnership. Sitting within the broader Communications Directorate, we work effectively with other departments and teams across the business, to ensure integrated communications across the business, working together for maximum impact.
As a public affairs professional, you will support the work of the Public Affairs team in engaging and strengthening relationships with politicians, policymakers and opinion formers. You will take the lead in updating external stakeholders on Partnership developments and work with Public Affairs colleagues and the wider communications team in implementing strategies to actively promote and protect the Partnership’s external reputation as a business and an employer, and support delivery of policy that delivers demonstrable value to Partners and the Partnership.
This is an exciting role for a public affairs professional looking to build their experience and expertise of public affairs and communications in a fast-moving, friendly environment. You will play a key role in providing dedicated public affairs support including for stakeholder engagement work and helping the team plan and execute its strategy.
Essential Skills
Proven understanding of the workings of government, policy development and legislative procedure.
Ability to present complex information in a way that is straightforward to understand, whether in writing or verbally.
Sound analytical skills and ability to identify and understand key issues while exercising judgement within a broad area of responsibility.
Self-motivated, with an ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to establish strong working relationships within and outside the Partnership.
