Registered Psychotherapist
The Lighthouse – Le Phare is a growing counselling and psychotherapy practice, offering mental health and neurofeedback services to individual adults, teens and children, couples, families, and groups. We have offices in Kemptville and Kingston and serve clients throughout Ontario.

We are currently looking for a Registered Psychotherapist to join our dynamic team at our Kingston or Kemptville Location.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in counselling, psychotherapy, or related discipline.
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP), registered with the CRPO.
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience providing services to a variety of clients.
- Hold current and sufficient professional liability insurance in Ontario.
- Can offer a minimum of 15 hours of availability to clients each week. Some evening and/or weekend availability is essential.
- Interested in, and capable of providing psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment to individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health symptoms and problems.
- Work with clients from assessment to termination, formulating and implementing an agreed-upon treatment plan with defined goals.
- Self-motivated, independent, responsible problem-solver.
- Current in all matters pertaining to ethical, confidential delivery of counselling services as outlined by your regulatory college.
- In-Person Client sessions at our Kingston or Kemptville office.
Other Requirements & Assets
- Other niche area of practice would be considered an asset - e.g., children, adolescents, disordered eating.
- Prior private practice experiences an asset
- Bilingualism (French/ English), other languages an asset.
- Experienced in conducting support groups or group therapy.
Hours & Location
- Work hours and schedule may vary depending on client and The Lighthouse - Le Phare needs.
- Hours include some evenings and/or weekends. The therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of clients or sessions per week. However, it is expected that the therapist will be available to hold at least 15 sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by The Lighthouse - Le Phare.
- This opportunity is in either Kemptville, ON or Kingston, ON.
- Client sessions are normally held in the offices of The Lighthouse - Le Phare, unless otherwise indicated by local/ provincial health authorities and the CRPO due to covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
