The Riverside Sexual Health Clinic has a vacancy for a qualified counsellor to take on the role of psychosexual therapist for 3.5 hours per week.
The post holder will be part of the integrated sexual health service - The Riverside Clinic.
The role involves organising your own caseload, taking professional responsibility and exercising autonomous judgement with regard to professional practice.
The post-holder will provide assessment and psychosexual counselling/therapy tailored to the individual needs of adults living in Bath and North East Somerset referred from either GP services, Talking Therapies or The Riverside Clinic.
We are looking for a non-judgmental, genuinely kind and proactive professional to join our team here at the Clinic who has previous experience counselling people with sex related issues.

Manage a patient/client caseload with support from the department administration team.
Review and accept appropriate referrals received from BaNES GPs, Talking Therapies or The Riverside Clinic.
Liaise with the department administration team to ensure appointments are made and relevant documentation and letters are sent to individuals who have been accepted to the service.
To assess the patient/client at the initial appointment/phone consultation and either signpost as appropriate or agree a specific number of follow up appointments as per the department policy.
Maintain accurate and up to date patient records using the department software system and in accordance with the Trust’s record keeping policy.
To ensure a safe environment by promoting confidentiality and privacy.
