Job description
As part of the Mental health transformation another exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical/ counselling psychologist /CBT therapist with the capability to deliver evidence-based and evidence-led interventions for people who are presenting with complex needs
We are currently offering another full time post/ job share in the borough of Redbridge NELFT.
This post is aimed at enhancing Redbridge MAP (mood, anxiety and personality disorder) pathway to deliver an evidence-based service, responsive to the needs of our service users.
COVID-19 Vaccination

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177 per annum pro rata).
Applicants should have:
Doctoral level training in clinical/counselling psychology and registration with the Health Professions Council/ BABCP accreditation
Experience of working in an evidence-based way with clients presenting with complex non psychosis.
We would consider applications from trainees due to qualify this year, if on a recognised training course and due to finish in September.
The post holder will work as a core member of the secondary care psychological intervention service offering CBT /EMDR evidence based interventions via individual and group therapy. The Redbridge secondary care psychological services team is comprised of EMDR consultants, BABPC accredited supervisors, DBT specialists and CBTp specialists. We are committed to support you to develop your skills through training, excellent supervision and practice.
We are looking for a psychologist/CBT therapist that wishes to increase their skills to provide the best possible outcomes for our diverse population.
We have successfully moved much of our service to virtual working so applications from outside of London are accepted (London weighting allowance included for post holders outside of London) recruitment bonus is also offered.
