The Role
This role is based at York House, 38 specially adapted bedrooms, with en suites, across three wards. York House offers a safe and comfortable temporary home. A short walk from York city centre and parks, we encourage everyone to get out, with the support of staff.
As an Assistant Psychologist, your role will include:
- Reporting to and liaising with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and clinical team
- Behavioural monitoring with observations, data gathering and analysis
- Producing behavioural and emotional progress reports for review meetings
- Supporting individual service users with weekly meetings and specific activities
We're looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:
- Upper Second Class Honors Degree (2:1) or higher in psychology or equivalent
- Eligibility for BPS (British Psychological Society) graduate registration
- Ability to present and teach others
- Ability to work independently and reliably
- Experience of working with adults with complex disabilities
