Job description
Due to an increasing workload Studio 3 Clinical Services are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic assistant psychologist to work with our clients in Wales and the West Country. The successful candidate will be working with children and adults with complex and challenging lives and the carers who support them.
Job Description
Initial Full time fixed term one year contract (may be extended)
1. Under supervision and individually:
· To provide psychological and other input to Children and Adult Services supported by Studio III.
· To provide individual therapeutic input to children and adult service users.
· To provide support to carers and teams supporting children and adults in care
· To conduct psychological, systemic and psychometric assessments in designated services.
2. Under supervision to conduct service evaluations as necessary.
3. With support to provide reports, guidelines, safety plans, and risk assessments on behalf of Studio III Clinical Services.
4. To initiate and provide monitoring and analysis of service user related data as appropriate.
5. To liaise sensitively with services, statutory organisations and others regarding individual child and adult service users as necessary.
6. To represent Studio III Clinical Services in professional meetings and to keep and maintain meeting records as required.
7. To act as the main liaison with services where appropriate.
8. To receive additional supervision and support from other members of the Clinical team as appropriate. To attend supervision, joint supervision sessions and CPD days when arranged.
9. To carry out research and assist in the supervision of allocated research projects.
10. To manage own diary and submit monthly records of work in conjunction with the Clinical Coordinator to meet the needs of Studio III Clinical Services and our clients.
This job is based in South Wales (Swansea, Bridgend, Cardiff, Newport area) and will include travel throughout Wales, the West Country and on occasions other parts of the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will require a full clean driving licence, access to a vehicle and be able to stay away from home.
The successful candidate will have at a minimum a degree in Psychology, be a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and have experience in a paid or voluntary capacity as a carer or support worker working with children and/or adults with complex and challenging lives.
