This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
To provide a psychologically informed (inclusive of lifespan and trauma informed care) and supportive service to adult acute in-patients in the Royal Edinburgh Building as defined by the supervising Clinical Psychologist and the relevant inpatient ward management.
To provide direct supportive input to patients and wider ward activities in line with the requirements of the service.
To provide circumscribed psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional Clinical Psychologist, according to a plan agreed with the supervising psychologist and within the overall framework of the in-patient team’s policies and procedures.

To contribute to the Quality Improvement programme for the service, under supervision by conducting PDSA cycles, data analysis and input of QI project into QI Life Programme or other QI work as directed.
