This is an exciting opportunity to join the Perinatal Mental Health Community Teams in Solihull. Birmingham and Solihull Perinatal Mental Health Services are currently expanding with a focus on developing innovative forms of service delivery in the community.
The Service operates Monday-Friday; 9.00am-5.00pm. This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week. The Community Perinatal Teams include a Consultant Psychiatrist, Team Manager, Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Nursery Nurses and Peer Support Workers. The ability to work flexibly and positively in multidisciplinary teams is therefore essential.
We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Psychologist with a genuine interest in perinatal mental health. The role includes providing support in both clinical interventions and data collection and analysis for service evaluation. You will be part of the multidisciplinary team and will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist. Applicants will need to have experience of a mental health setting, good communication skills and an ability to understand and analyse data. The ability to speak languages of local communities (e.g Urdu, Punjabi) is not essential but would be an advantage.
