We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, innovative Assistant Psychologist with an interest in working with the providers of services for adult homeless people with complex health and social needs within hostels. This is a Band 5 twelve-month fixed-term post. Previous post holders have gained places on clinical psychology training courses.
You must be keen to embrace the privileges of working in a diverse borough and have an interest in working with people with complex mental health difficulties and from a range of religious, spiritual, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to develop clinical, research, evaluation, consultation and teaching/training skills.
The postholder will work with Psychologists who support organisations and teams to deliver psychologically informed environments and develop their trauma informed and neuro informed work. In addition, we support service user and carers’ inclusion into psychological services and therapeutic opportunities. There are opportunities to support service user’s engagement in service development work. This post is mainly working with staff in teams, the overall goal is to improve the health and wellbeing of homeless people, promote their social connections, community engagement and participation.
