Job Opening Summary
Provides patient care services to individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders within an interdisciplinary team model. Interventions include physical and psychosocial activities. Assists with monitoring of the milieu for safety and security. Assists patients with ADL care. Performs monitoring of vital signs and assists with collection of specimens. Assists with maintenance of unit equipment and supplies. Helps patients keep their bed/room and belongings in order. Engages in therapeutic activities with patients and assists therapists with their programming. Works under the direction of the nurse.
Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or its equivalent required.
- Current CNA or is in nursing school, having completed fundamental skills clinical experience.
- Previous work as a CNA, PCA or MHT preferred.
- Basic Life Support required upon hire.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Certification as a CNA is required.
