An exciting opportunity for Registered Mental Health Nurses with an interest in providing high quality care to Older Adults with mental health needs, including Dementia, in a specialist inpatient setting at Bloxwich Hospital. We are particularly excited about the work commenced to build a new state of the art inpatient facility for Older People in Walsall, completion in 2024 and you would be part of the team helping us to transition from our more traditional environment.

Main duties of the job

To work as nurse in charge of shifts dependant upon your experience.

To develop effective person-centred care plans and evaluate care planning in collaboration with patients and carers following assessments.

To work within the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide the best care and optimum recovery for patients.

To liaise closely and support carers and significant others involved in the patient's care using effective communication skills.

To be able to effectively risk assess and mitigate risk where necessary.

To participate in clinical supervision and receive support in your career development.
