We are looking for a talented Prototype Manufacturing Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Huddersfield.
This is a permanent contract working 35 hours Per week. Across a rotation of days and night shift.
Salary is up to £43,725 depending on skills and experience.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Manufacture of basic and complex components working directly from engineering drawings with a pro-active problem-solving approach, using a range of manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Interpret and understand complex engineering piece-part and assembly drawings and models.
- Lead improvement activity within work area to improve operational performance and engage the team to deliver superior results.
- Ensure quality is maintained to engineering standards and drive quality ownership.
- Create and develop documented procedures while following best practice.
- Drives continuous improvement activities relating to manufacturing technologies.
- Communicate with other members of the department to ensure workflow and customer requirements are met.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Apprentice trained or a good level of machine experience would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Edgecam would be a benefit.
- Previous CNC milling or grinding experience.
