Job title: Prosthetist
Location: Crystal Palace
We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosthetist to join our team in Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace is a large prosthetic centre, in which the team works closely with the MDT to provide prosthetic services to a wide ranging clinical caseload. The role at Bowley Close Rehabilitation Centre will provide an opportunity to work with a well-established team, develop your clinical practice across a range of clinical settings and provide progression opportunities.

Job role summary:
The role holder assesses patients in conjunction with Physiotherapists, NHS Consultants and other members of the multidisciplinary team as appropriate, they then provide prosthetic treatment based on best practice, reviewing and providing continuity of care throughout the patient pathway.
Teamworking as well as autonomous prescribing founded on evidence-based practice will form the foundation of day to day working. Being able to build good patient rapport as well as strong working relationships within the team are key qualities asked of the role holder in order to provide and maintain the high quality of care we pride ourselves in.
Working as part of large team, the role holder will work collaboratively with other members of the team, which includes students/graduates.

What experience you will need:
- Confidence in measuring, scanning / casting and fitting devices
- Upper limb experience will be an advantage
- Be committed to the highest standards of patient care and building strong relationships with patients and colleagues
- Proficient IT skills for patient note documentation and ordering systems
- We will also require applicants to be either a Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist or hold an HND/BSc in Orthotics/Prosthetics.
- You must be HCPC registered.
- Preferably a member of BAPO
