About The Role
Thentia is looking for an adaptable, energetic, passionate technical writer to join our proposal team. This role sits with the RFP and Proposal team and will work on content for RFP responses. In this role you will work directly with the proposal team, product team, delivery team, and other groups to produce relevant RFP material and narratives that produce winning RFP responses.
Our ideal candidate has experience with both SaaS companies and RFP responses in the public sector.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and compelling proposal content that effectively communicates our organization's strengths, differentiators, and value propositions. This includes crafting executive summaries, solution descriptions, methodologies, project timelines, and pricing sections.
- Proposal Strategy: Collaborate with the proposal team and key stakeholders to develop proposal strategies that align with client requirements and objectives. Provide insights and recommendations on proposal structure, messaging, and win themes to enhance the overall quality and competitiveness of proposals.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, spelling, and formatting consistency. Ensure all written materials adhere to the organization's branding guidelines and maintain a professional tone.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain a comprehensive database of proposal templates, past proposals, and relevant reference materials. Continuously update and refine the proposal library to ensure the availability of accurate and up-to-date content for future use.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop comprehensive proposals in response to client requests. This involves understanding client requirements, conducting research, and formulating innovative solutions to address client needs.
- Proposal Coordination: Manage the proposal development process, including organizing proposal kick-off meetings, establishing timelines, assigning tasks, and tracking progress. Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery of all proposal components and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of proposal development
- 1+ year experience in technical writing
- Exceptional writing, grammar, and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and being self-motivated
- Ability to grasp technical concepts and write eloquently about them to both technical and executive audiences
- Experience with SaaS companies
- Experience with Public Sector bids
- Experience with proposal response technology platforms a plus
