Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of transactions from instruction through to completion
- Liaising with internal clients and stakeholders, leaseholders, solicitors, local authorities and other third parties.
- Drafting contracts for sale and purchase and portfolio contracts.
- Dealing with pre-emption rights, complex land registry applications and unregistered titles.
- Performing legal due diligence on matters such as the interpretation of leases, deeds and other property title documents.
- Conducting legal research and assisting with the creation and regular maintenance, improvement of and updating of precedents.
- Keeping up to date and advising on new regulatory rules.
- Keeping an interest in legislative changes and assisting with responses to government consultations.
Skills required:
- A qualified lawyer or similar qualification.
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in residential and commerical conveyancing and non-contentious property work is required.
- A self-starter who will hit the ground running, enthusiastic.
- Excellent communicator, and a creative thinker.
- A high degree of integrity and reliability.
- A solid understanding of conveyancing procedures and relevant property law and the ability to understand and explain legal technicalities and processes.
- Ability to draft various clauses and documents and the ability to appreciate the implications.
- Ability to meet deadlines and the ability to advise and negotiate effectively.

Salary: £40,000.00 per year
