You will be a Project & Value Analyst within our Risk & Controlling department. You will have the responsibility of monitoring incoming business cases, outcomes and reporting on progress of these projects through to delivery, ensuring value realisation. You will offer valuable support to the Controlling team, enabling meaningful data insight, effective controls and realisation of company benefits. This role is varied and also entails completion of other cost management, data analysis and presentation and, stakeholder management

This is what your day might look like:

  • You will support the General Manager Controlling within IT, Corporate Portfolio and Value Realisation and, Controlling functions ensuring accurate forecasting, effective budget management and business benefit delivery
  • You will also support the management of the Benefit Realisation Committee by providing required data and recording meeting outcomes
  • Manage all incoming business cases/outcomes, operating a governance process to ensure those submitted are to an acceptable standard and in-line with company goals. Ensuring all key stakeholders identified, are engaged.
  • Manage and develop the Business Change log, to track and report on business case/business outcome creation, approval status and declared tangible benefits
  • You will produce and manage a project review schedule, coordinating review meetings with key stakeholders for annual project reviews, preparing data and recording output for presentation to senior management
  • Extract and record all ongoing “Run the Bank” costs expected from business change activity and communicate to the wider Controlling team to ensure its implemented into reforecasts and planning rounds
  • You will review and manage incoming Headquarters (HQ) CTB (Change the Bank) offers to ensure they are logged and aligned to planning
  • Manage the process for the HQ quarterly invoice relating to HQ system development and IT services hosted at HQ, ensuring that it accurately reflects project costs and services provided to the UK and is aligned with the UK IT landscape
  • Analyse and calculate monthly accruals and prepayments for all HQ invoicing to ensure that costs are accurately reflected in the correct periods
  • You will prepare for review IT/Project Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Dashboards and HQ IT CMIS reporting for monthly actual submissions, reforecasts and annual planning round
  • In addition, you will also structure presentations and updates on data insight when required to support effective story-telling and meaningful insight
  • You could also be involved in conducting ad-hoc software testing to support any IT developments impacting the area as required
  • You will also be involved with other ad-hoc investigation and analysis, both internally (UK BoM) and externally (HQ Controlling)
  • During this fixed-term you will develop strong working relationships with your peers across VWFS UK to share best practice and embed shared learnings

It would be great if you have the following skills and experience:

  • In this varied and critical role, experience working and delivering in Project/Programme Management environments is desirable
  • You can communicate to all levels within the company including Board of Management, to challenge and make recommendations regarding forecasting and budget setting
  • You will use your analytical and reporting skills fully in this role and be comfortable with numerical data
  • You have a methodical and disciplined approach to work with exceptional organisational skills
  • You will be able to demonstrate that you can interrogate and analyse data and present in a structured manner
