Project Support Officer South Kensington, England

Imperial College London
Full Time South Kensington, England 35477 - 39860 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Are you looking to begin a career in project administration? We have an opportunity for you!

Funded by the Wellcome Trust, the MedTechONE project aims to develop technologies in musculoskeletal health and surgery, addressing robotics, sensing and imaging needs currently unmet in the medical sector. Working collaboratively with clinical scientists and engineers, the postholder will be supporting the day-to-day running and development of this high impact activity.

The project will be primarily supporting the training, events and networking aspects of this large, multidisciplinary research grant, embedding these activities within the clinical environment. This will provide essential translational project support to the MedTechONE partnership, enabling the outputs of robotics research to advance more rapidly into clinical use and/or commercial development, including through the formation of new spin-out companies.

The Hamlyn Centre, where the post is based, is co-hosted by the Department of Surgery & Cancer and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, which focuses on technological innovation with a strong emphasis on clinical translation, resulting in direct patient benefits with global impacts. The Centre is one of the several research centres that make up the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI). Focusing on improving global health and healthcare through evidence-based innovation, IGHI is one of Imperial’s six global challenge institutes.
