Age UK’s Wellbeing Team are recruiting for a proactive, organised and committed individual to join them as a Project Support Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills are needed to ensure the successful delivery of important projects aimed at improving older peoples’ physical and mental wellbeing.
You will be supporting the Project Manager with the delivery of Wellbeing projects by developing and implementing project plans and monitoring progress. Initially you will be focusing on the Warm Homes Programme that supports older people affected by fuel poverty and cold homes, and the Walking Football Programme aimed at increasing older people’s physical activity levels.
Working closely with Age UK’s Network of over 120 local offices and external partners you will be actioning funder led reporting requirements and liaising with partners on the impact the projects are having on their beneficiaries. You will be responsible for managing communications with our local partner network and for collecting, analysing, and disseminating project data requiring high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and good excel skills.
This is a fantastic hybrid opportunity, offering a blend of home based and office work, our office for this role is in London. Candidates must be willing to travel to our London office once a month. There will be an occasional requirement to travel to local Age UK Partners across the country, sometimes involving overnight stays.
Must haves:
- Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to track progress of deliverables.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to learn new software applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience of presenting data and reports, including preparation of tables and graphs
- Experience of data entry to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of organising meetings.
- Confident dealing with people from different levels and backgrounds.
Great to haves:
- Keen understanding of issues facing older people
- Experience of working in the charity sector.
