We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced individual to support with project management to the Midwifery Transformation and Maternity MCoC Transformation Plan within the Maternity and Women's Directorate. This is a full-time position for a fixed term contract over 12 month period.
Previous experience of working with Senior Managers in a busy NHS environment would be highly advantageous. The successful applicant must be adaptable and possess excellent organisational and communication skills. They should have experience in project management and support, minute taking and electronic diary scheduling.
The post holder will be Project Support Manager reporting directly to the Midwifery Transformation Manager and working alongside Senior Managers within the Midwifery & Women's Directorate.
The post holder will provide comprehensive and confidential project management and administrative support and have excellent communication skills, be efficient and proactive and high levels of organisation along with being able to work under pressure.

Main Tasks
- To support the Maternity and Women’s Directorate in delivering workstreams which form part of the national agenda for maternity services, taking on tasks as and when required and demonstrating initiative by identifying problems to resolve or opportunities to develop
- Create and support on establishing a document control process and assist in managing elements of projects and reporting
- Responsibility for maintaining the project risk register, issue log and highlight report
- Assist the Maternity and Women’s Directorate in maintaining the project plans
- Undertake analysis of data and being able to present the information to key managers within the project which are outside of the immediate directorate, including conducting audits, surveys and evaluation
- Manage project risks in accordance with established practices, including escalation where appropriate
- Responsible for co-ordination between team members and external stake holders in order to initiate and produce reports
- Apply project management methodology to ensure workstreams are organised, and deadlines are met.
- Co-ordinate project meetings, including creating agendas, taking minutes, and adapting the project plans
- Administering internal and external meetings, such as the Programme Board and project delivery meetings – working with the meeting chair to ensure timely
- Preparation of documentation and communication to members of the meeting,
- Ensure the meetings are attended administratively and minutes or action logs are prepared and circulated in a timely manner.
- Organisation and governance of materials after the meetings, such as dissemination of actions in a timely manner
- Organising and facilitating meetings, workshops and events and creating materials when required.
- Help to identify training needs within the projects, and produce relevant materials to support staff training
- Lead on the development if communication methods and materials for any required aspect of the programme
- Communicate ideas and complex concepts clearly, via presentations and in meetings, to all levels of staff to achieve positive outcomes
