Are you ready to take on the challenge to provide, guidance, support and supervision to a project teams onsite and manage onsite contractors. In this role you will need to ensure the activities of group are fully aligned with the Engineering Vision & Strategy and Hempel Manufacturing Strategy, including current business priorities.
What can you look forward to
The overarching aim of this role is to ensure that all supporting all aspects of CapEx Projects deliveries, from scoping projects at their outset, to their successful installation and commissioning. This will include the both hands on work and the management of 3rd party contractors. In accordance with all applicable standards/legislation and processes/procedures.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Support site project teams in the delivery of project through its full cycle from initial scoping and concept to handover to site teams upon completion.
  • Update and manage project folders and technical files
  • Effective communication of key issues/priorities through regular dialog/briefings.
  • Supervision and management of crown paints employees & third party contractors onsite, ensuring site rules and procedures are followed and maintained though a projects implementation
  • Ensure that employees and any outside contractor/agencies working on a project are fully inducted, adhere and operate to acceptable standards of our business principles and comply with risk assessments and method statements as agreed for any particular project
  • Support site engineering teams with technical support and guidance
  • Ensure all group activities are fully compliant with all applicable quality/HSE standards/legislation, as directed by the Site Engineering Manager or HSE Dept.
Our requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing multi-skilled maintenance environment as a fully qualified Engineering Technician.
  • Previous supervisory experience in third party contractor management
  • Demonstrable knowledge of General Digital (IT) (Microsoft office Suite)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the successful application of project management and project life cycles
  • Thorough understanding/appreciation of internal customer requirements/needs and a high level of internal customer awareness.
  • Strong positive leadership and persuasion skills.
  • Strong motivation and delegation skills used to optimize project performance.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Good organization and planning skills.
