The purpose of this role is to provide line management and leadership of Project, Programme & PMO resources in Professional Services. You will passionately drive and maintain a positive, valued, high performing culture within the team and the Project community at large. Empowering team members to take full ownership of their respective roles and the activities which they are responsible for, whilst being accountable for the team members performance and the outcomes that they provide to our customers and stakeholders alike. You will also lead key initiatives of continuous improvement for Professional Services and will be an advocate of change so that Professional Services develop its value-add propositions, improve services and maintain its competitive, revenue driven position.
What will you be doing?
- Line management & career development of between 15-25 Project colleagues.
- Lead strategic initiatives so that the Project Practice & Professional Services continuously improves and achieves its long term vision & strategic goals.
- Cascade development, performance and strategic goals to individuals and measure & record progress to achieve those goals throughout the year.
- Ensure Project Resources maintain and adhere to the Project Practice robust governance processes.
- Ensure the team and individuals meet or exceed Professional Services key KPI metrics.
- To facilitate and lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide valued input into the strategy and vision of Professional Services.
Who are we looking for?
- Relevant previous experience in people and performance management and managing multi-diciplined teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of industry standard project management delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies is expected, and should have or previously held Prince 2 Practitioner qualification.
