As a Project/Program Management Associate within Corporate Technology, the successful candidate will work in a challenging yet rewarding environment delivering a first class product. You will enjoy creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders across Corporate Technology, their equivalent business areas, and other LOBs to ensure critical deliveries meet the firm’s exacting delivery expectations. You’ll be someone who is execution focused with strong communication and engagement skills.
You will be structured and methodical with experience of introducing standards and defined processes for project and program execution. You will take pride in introducing unambiguous, thorough reporting to the organisation, satisfying the needs of all recipients regardless of level. The Corporate Technology Strategic Program Implementation (SPI) group is an enablement function that provides a point of consolidated visibility and management for critical strategic programs, and reduces delivery risk for the most critical and high risk Corporate Technology programs. The group drives a diverse portfolio of programs, cross-LoB or single LoB, with a focus on risk, complexity and criticality. Whilst the majority of the delivery work is conducted within specific LoB technology teams, the SPI group provides a point of consolidated management and best practices across all streams, and into the business stakeholders. In addition, the SPI team are responsible for setting the standards for project and program delivery for the rest of the Corporate Technology organisation and ensuring adherence to those standards. They partner closely with the Portfolio Governance function in order to ensure the programs SPI are responsible for are accurately represented and effectively managed leveraging the firm’s standard tooling.
Qualifications
- Experience of delivering, or contributing to the delivery of, effective technology change projects/programs
- Experience of working within a structured project/program delivery approach or of implementing a structured project/program delivery approach within a team or broader organisation
- Proven ability to support a team in driving a project or program from initiation through to closure
- Understanding of both waterfall and agile techniques
- Proven ability to leverage your network to drive effective delivery
- Strong problem solving skills, ability to quickly broker solutions and resolve conflict situations
- Strong motivation and drive for execution whilst building and maintaining solid relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels. Ability to articulate complex ideas, plans and issues to different audiences.
