Project Officer - Fixed-term contract for 2 years
Starting salary of £26,004 with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding up to £29,421 on a competency-based framework.
37.5 hrs per week with flexibility* to cover some evenings and weekend events*

Job Description
Responsible to:

Events Manager

Job Purpose:

The Project Officer is the key point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders and partners involved in the delivery and co-ordination of a key project. In this instance the Wild in Art trail to go live in summer 2024. With guidance from the Events Manager the post holder will manage the development and delivery of the project ensuring the needs of the key strategic partners are met.

Specific Duties:

Update, maintain and monitor a project timeline with key milestone dates for each aspect of the project.
Develop and support a project group to drive the project through to its successful conclusion and final evaluation.
Plan, identify and agree roles and responsibilities for the project group and any sub-groups which may be required.

Set up regular meetings and reporting mechanisms. NB. Some meetings may be virtual or include virtual attendees.

Set up, utilise and manage the materials and understanding required to support others to maximise the resources coming into the project from public and private sector sources.

Report project progress at regular intervals to the Events Manager and Senior Leadership Team, supporting updates to members of the steering group.

Working with the wider fundraising team present the project proposition to groups and individual organizations in order to secure the required sponsorship from partners.

Identify any potential issues or risks that could affect the progression of the project, communicate these to the Events Manager and work to identify potential solutions.

Monitor deadlines for each project task and report any potential delays to the Events Manager at the earliest opportunity.

Support members of the fundraising team in the account management of individual sponsors ensuring positive relations and delivery of a range of identified benefits.

Manage arrangements for special events and activities such as sponsor and project/brand launches.

Work closely with the marketing and communication team on the development of the brand, sponsorship materials and other collateral.

Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that staff across the hospice are always informed as appropriate.

Ensure that all meetings are documented using notes or minutes which are filed and shared as appropriate.

Attend meetings with sponsors.

Be a point of contact with the Wild in Art team and liaise accordingly.

Oversee project budget.

Produce a live report evaluating the on-going success of the project and any lessons learned that can be shared with all stakeholders.
