Employment type: Permanent full-time
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.
Salary: £60,000 -£66,000, plus bonus and other benefits.

The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager with specialist knowledge in the development of strategy for delivering Site Establishment to join SZC.
Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
The Role
You’ll support in the development of the strategy for delivering the Site Establishment scope to cost, schedule and quality within the agreed constraints. The scope of Site Establishment is the design, planning, procurement and execution of the early SZC civils scope e.g. early construction utilities, temporary buildings, fencing and security and roads and hardstandings.
You’ll also be responsible for ensuring delivery or part-delivery of the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule.
Ensuring planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project.
You’ll also provide leadership to ensure the effective delivery of Site Establishment scope as part of the overarching Civils Programme of SZC, whilst recognising and managing the impacts of the programme on the wider Project.
The Skills
You’ll be a Project Manager with a background in delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility.
Experience in managing and developing of engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery is key.
Having a good understanding of complex, large scale projects, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment would be desirable.
You’ll have previous experience in managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment. Including NEC and FIDIC contracts.
