The key purpose of this role is to ensure ASOS is meeting its compliance requirements globally for waste and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation, as well as project managing day-to-day packaging and packaging waste requirements and initiating and delivering projects that maximise value, FWI impact and minimise risk. This will include working with stakeholders to understand requirements, taking these to market and working with our supplier partners to maximise value.
You will…
Build and manage effective relationships
Build and develop trust and collaborative relationships with Procurement, Functional business areas, Compliance Partners, and Suppliers to ensure value is maximised for ASOS.
Category strategy and planning
Work with and support functional stakeholders to develop and deploy leading packaging waste compliance and packaging programmes and projects. Ensure the approach is rigorous, thorough, and innovative.
Be familiar with most drivers and levers of Packaging & Packaging Waste.
Understand the importance of and how to mitigate risk in Packaging Waste, Packaging and Products.
Support and build a deep and current knowledge of the Packaging Waste landscape, providing actionable insights to the Procurement Packaging Team and ASOS community.
Build collaborative partnerships with business stakeholders to ensure the success of Packaging strategy and planning.
Value Delivery
Lead Packaging & Packaging Waste projects to agreed timelines and quality that maximise value delivery.
Ensure necessary administration is carried out diligently, including coordinating the set-up of new suppliers, raising purchase orders, and ensuring suppliers are paid to terms.
Achieve and beat stretching targets.
Be tenacious, maximising value delivery within the Packaging category despite organisational, industry, or regulatory changes of direction and targets.
Responsible for delivering programmes and projects that will maximise value for ASOS within the plan year.
Understand new and innovative measures for value that are recognised by stakeholders.
Team and functional leadership
Be an active team player, showing resilience and flexibility in the context of ongoing organisational evolution.
Understand and contribute to an environment where driving to maximise value, developing talent and achieving high performance is celebrated.
Work with, and develop, junior members of the Procurement team
