Job description
Due to an internal promotion, our Managed IT Division are looking for an exceptional IT Project Manager to join their Project Management team, who will successfully plan, communicate, test and implement IT projects to our large portfolio of clients.
The role
As an IT Project Manager, you will be reporting directly into the Head of Project Management, and working collaboratively with our Sales, Delivery, and Support teams within the Managed IT Division. You will be exposed to a variety of technologies; no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to work with clients of all sizes across all sectors.
Your responsibilities as an IT Project Manager will be:
- To own and deliver all IT project activity managed within industry best practice guidelines and Prince 2® methodologies
- Successfully lead the planning, communication and implementation of each project for our clients
- Manage project resources effectively to ensure timely delivery
- Effectively control risks, scope changes and project quality
- Manage, communicate and escalate project issues to timely and successful resolution
- Monitor and report on the progress of projects to all key stakeholders in a timely manner
- Proactively monitor all financial elements of the project to ensure compliance and achievement of pre-agreed budgets
- Conduct post project reviews to establish learning points and evaluate performance against time, cost and quality objectives
- Manage project delivery using internal systems and tooling to ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up to date
- Track hardware/software deliverables to fulfil project requirements
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the project management office
- Adhere with all ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 requirements to ensure all documentation is compliant
About you
- You will have previous experience working within a Project Management position
- Prior knowledge and experience of managing multiple projects within enterprise environments to agreed time, quality and cost objectives
- You will be a highly organised individual with proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects with the ability to achieve deadlines
- You will be a key team player and have the ability to collaborate successfully
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to demonstrate sound prioritisation skills to effectively manage an everchanging work load
- You will have a solid interest and technical background in IT
- You will be an agile learner and demonstrate good initiative
- Certifications in PRINCE2 / AGILE would be desirable but not essential
- Holding a full UK driving licence is essential for this role as travel is required to our customers sites throughout the UK
