HMP YOI Parc, Bridgend, South Wales
£50,000 - £58,000 per annum dependant on experience
Fixed Term contract for 18 months, Full Time (40 hours per week)

G4S Care & Rehabilitation Services (CaRS) successfully manages five prisons, one secure training centre and a number of community contracts in England and Wales. The philosophy of our business is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them with the skills needed to re-integrate back into society. About the role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will deliver planned projects and ad hoc work within the defined contract region to support the Facilities Management contracts at HMP & YOI Parc, overseeing the delivery of FM project efficiencies.
Working as part of the CaRS Mobilisation Team and reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with the Head of FM, Senior Management Teams, Clients and Contract/Service Delivery Managers.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Planning and co-ordination of all works as identified within the Project Plan
- Manage all projects in accordance with the project management guidance
- Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships, ensuring Senior Client’s needs are understood and met
- Prepare and distribute all necessary reports and documentation in a timely and professional manner to enable monitoring, control and communication
- Review Clients instructions and where necessary assist or develop suitable documentation to obtain competitive sub-trader quotations. Analyse competitive sub-trader submissions and subsequently prepare G4S quotations for submission in line with requirements and current Contract formats.
- Review provision and supply of quotations, using best suited internal and external suppliers, verifying value for money before seeking Client approval.
- Ensure control of cost, quality and time, therefore incorporate and emphasise good Planning skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have an understanding of model contract forms: JCT, NEC, GC Works, CDM Experience (2015), an understanding of BREEAM and BIM, current or previous experience within a similar role managing Client facing Project Work services.
In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines, maintain confidentiality, have the ability to prioritise workload, maintain high levels of accuracy and challenge where necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as working proactively and using your own initiative.
It is key that you are flexible and adaptable to deal with ever-changing scenarios. You must me flexible, work well under pressure, be adaptable and able to work in a constantly evolving work environment.
We are looking for a highly motivated and determined person, with the ability to be resilient, confident with a tenacious can do attitude and the ability to work alone and as part of a busy and fast paced Project Team.
You must have strong IT skills, including experience of Google and Google Docs, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
