Job summary

The Energy Recycling Facility Project Manager post is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the current Project Manager through to retirement in mid 2023, before taking the full reins of the role thereafter.

The post holder will direct, control and manage the following critical work streams for the proper functioning of the Energy from Waste facilities and other assets within the Solid Waste Section:
  • Capital Asset Replacement and Refurbishment Programmes
  • Specialist Service Contracts
  • Multiple Annual Planned Outages

The post holder will additionally ensure the provision of a comprehensive, cost effective Islandwide thermal treatment service, maximising energy recovery in the form of electricity production and export and waste disposal.

The role holder will ensure that the above functions are carried out in compliance with Waste Directives, Health & Safety policies and procedures; ensuring accurate records are kept of all work done and documentation represents the “As Built” condition and ensuring all work is accurately
accounted for to the States of Jersey Codes of Directions.
