Project Manager (Category) – £30-£35k salary pro-rata – 37.5 hours per week – Sheffield office (S8) based – Bestway Vans Direct

We are looking for a Project Manager for Maternity Cover until April 2024 to be responsible for the delivery of activities that maximise sales and profit for both Bestway Vans Direct and our customers.

About the role:

The role encompasses all aspects of Project Management, delivery of our Supplier Services programme, which involves strategy development, supplier management, planning and securing income for the business. Specifically, you will be responsible for running our ‘guest products’ activity drives, speaking to new and existing suppliers to secure investment for our salesforce who drive supplier distribution across our customer base of independent retailers

The Project Manager will also mentor and develop the Project Coordinator and oversee the Project specific activities of the Project Coordinator.

Some travel may be required for this role, however day-to-day you will be based in our Sheffield Office.

Your main responsibilities:

• Working closely with suppliers to create flexible solutions that support both Bestway Vans and the Supplier business requirements.
• Management of the ‘guest product’ category plan to ensure that financial targets are met, business activity drive slots are filled, with a balanced plan delivered for our salesforce
• Negotiating income from suppliers for promotional support and specific initiatives.
• Accurately analysing promotional effectiveness and forecasts for guest product categories.
• Ensuring that admin tasks for the specific business Projects are completed correctly and on time.
• Effective focus and management of internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure all activities and decisions support achievement and delivery of the Bestway Vans Direct or project specific budget.

About You:

• Experience within a Project Management or a Category Management Role.
• The ability to build relationships internally and externally using effective influencing skills.
• Experience of creating and delivering business projects or activities.
• The ability to confidently demonstrate tenacity, determination, and assertiveness in pursuit of a commercially successful outcome, managing conflict where necessary.
• Numerate, with experience of analysing performance and data.
• Problem solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
