Job description

The Next Generation Research SuperVision Project (RSVP): transforming the culture of doctoral education and supervision’ is a £4.6million, four-year project to transform research supervision practice. This will be achieved by systematically examining how to improve and enhance research supervision in the UK through: scholarship, practice interventions, culture & policy change.

Directed by Dr Karen Clegg, University of York and Professor Doug Cleaver, Sheffield Hallam University, the project consortium also includes the University of Nottingham, King's College London, Coventry University and the UK Council for Graduate Education. An additional 15+ universities will be recruited to pilot and evaluate professional development interventions including supervisor programmes, mentoring, communities of practice and bespoke institutional support. Industry partners who will help to shape the delivery of professional development include Unilever, GSK the BBC and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and creative Project Manager to manage this multi-partner culture change project. You will be instrumental in seeing the four year project through to successful achievement of a range of agreed key performance indicators, developing governance processes, building relationships, organising high profile events and managing the budget.
