About the role
This is a new Project Manager role that will work across several projects at IIPP, including the Global Commission on the Economics of Water.
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that IIPP’s project work is developed, planned, organised and delivered successfully, meeting specifications agreed with project funders. This role will also work collaboratively across IIPP with different project teams and support the development of a Community of Practice of Project Managers at IIPP.

What we offer
The Project Manager’s key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and working with the Director and wider IIPP and Commission teams to lead project implementation (and change management as necessary)
- Managing and delivering a number of different project tasks concurrently, keeping each within specified deadlines and output requirements
- Developing integrated project plans covering the full project lifecycle, with built-in risk and issue management as necessary to ensure project success
- Prepare regular and accurate reports of the progress of projects and provide metrics in appropriate format for all relevant project stakeholders
- Preparation for funder auditing
- Project evaluation to demonstrate the impact of funding and success of project delivery, working with and developing IIPP’s existing project processes
- Monitoring and tracking of project budget in consultation with the Institute Manager, Head of Grants, and wider IIPP team responsible for finances to ensure that projects are operating within agreed financial parameters and protocols, and reporting on any material variances
- Effective coordination of projects communications, contributing to website development, e-marketing, social media and communications strategies as needed and ensuring they are executed to a high standard and in line with project needs
- Research and grant data management
- Responsible for recording effort and FTE of researchers on projects
