Job summary

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has been set up to provide health security and health protection for the nation by protecting from infectious disease and external hazards. We will act like no other organisation previously to mitigate threats to health before they materialise.

UKHSA will build the nation’s health resilience and security, strengthening our ability to detect and monitor infectious diseases and external threats to health. Using robust evidence and world-leading expertise, we will go deeper to analyse threats to health, and how best to prevent and control them. UKHSA will ensure a system-wide response in partnership with local authorities, NHS, academia, global professional institutes, and industry.

We have a number of exciting Project Manager roles available within UKHSA. You will be assigned to one of our diverse range of projects or programmes which could include, but not limited to:

  • Supporting delivery of a major change programme within the UKHSA Portfolio aligned to UKHSA’s strategic objectives
  • Organisational change projects or programmes
  • Health protection projects or other health initiatives
  • Leading the set up and delivery of new projects and programmes

As a Project Manager you will lead on the day to day running of projects, which will typically be low in complexity. These will be small scale initiatives often relating to making sure the business can continue to operate, although you may be involved in supporting more complex projects.

You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the project, ensuring that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. You will have a key role in project governance and will work with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefit realisation.

This role is aligned to the Project Delivery Capability Framework (PDCF) career pathway Project Manager 2.

You will be asked to express a location preference during the application process.

The balance between home and workplace working is to be agreed with the line manager, determined primarily by business needs and in line with departmental policy.

*Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas. Relocation expenses are not available.*
