We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our busy and expanding Real Estate team in Sheffield to lead project management commissions in the Defence sector across East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
- To lead Construction Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects specifically in the Defence sector.
- To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Extensive experience in a Construction Project Management position
- Recent Ministry of Defence project experience (either directly or within a framework) in high hazard / high integrity environments
- Understanding of MOD service publications (JSP etc)
- Familiarity with Service abbreviations and general overview of structures:
- Ranks
- Posts
- Top Level Budget (TLBs)
- Management of suppliers and stakeholders
- Awareness of various contracting methodologies (FIDI /JCT etc...)
- Understanding of RIBA processes
- Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out
- Governance and risk control frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, able to work independently, diligent and with an eye for detail
- Ability to produce formal reports and documents which clearly set out complex issues and recommendations
- Minimum SC (Security Clearance)
