Position: Project Manager
Experience: 8-10 Years (3-5 years and above in Project management)
Location: Dartford, UK
Role
The Project manager will be responsible for managing and delivering implementation projects and will be responsible for all day-to-day project management activities. They may have to work independently or with UK counterparts, who will represent the team during face-to-face meetings with customers.
Responsibility and duties:
· To manage the implementation process as defined in the current Implementation Process Model(s) and ensure Governance is adhered too
· To ensure the customer is aware of their respective responsibilities and commits to resources required
· To manage the progress of work performed by client and Third Parties
· To be the prime customer contact and promote client products and company professionally at all times
· To maintain regular, frequent contact with the customer and develop a profitable relationship with key customer personnel
· To manage problems through to resolution escalating proactively and formally as necessary
· To maintain accurate quality records of customer project work, sufficient to allow seamless handover to a colleague
· To continually assess the implementation project and propose process improvements.
· To ensure all records in Kimble are kept up to date including billing and forecast resources and revenue accurately
Essential Skills required:
- Project Management experience in IT projects / software implementation projects
- Able to work alone (Individual Contributor) and as effectively as a team player
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent Negotiator
- Proven ability to self-manage and remain productive under pressure.
- Professionally presented and a great ambassador for the Company
- Positive work ethic which includes willingness to work extended hours where appropriate.
- Numerate, methodical, approachable, an excellent communicator at many levels
- Willingness to assist others.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent certification; may be waived for exceptionally talented candidates. They’ll need to be trained after joining.
- Demonstrable knowledge of MS Project (or equivalent), Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Master’s degree in engineering or Computer science / computer application
Desirable Skills:
- Has managed 3rd parties.
- Has working experience of the onshore – offshore model
- Has experience of commercial awareness in aspects such as revenue recognition and margin management.
- Has development / technical background (Preferred)
- Public Services and Utilities Industry background preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
