Job description
Based with the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) and managed by the Head of the VRU the role is to project manage the introduction of the Serious Violence Duty in South Yorkshire with the aim of preventing and reducing serious violence in partnership with responsible authorities.
To be responsible for supporting, coordinating, implementing and reporting on the development of the SVD Needs Assessment and Strategy required by the Serious Violence Duty.
Skills and Experience:
You will need to be educated to degree level, must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of project management. You must have knowledge and experience of stakeholder engagement and communication and demonstrate a strong commitment to serving the public, together with a collaborative, accessible and open style of working.

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with the OPCC.
