Duration: Ongoing rolling contract with extensions dependent on project work

Hours: Full time

Rate: Competitive hourly rate outside IR35, dependent on experience

Job Description

• Manage projects/studies and staff to ensure all timeframes and targets are met to the sponsor’s satisfaction while keeping costs under control.
• This role involves managing the project’s risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies related to deliverables.
• The Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to analyse needs and functional requirements and coordinate with other PMs.

Role Requirements

• Develop a comprehensive Project Plan based on scope and budget while monitoring actual performance.
• Provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
• Build agendas, issue minutes, chair meetings, and ensure adherence to regulatory, global, and site policies and procedures governing operations activities.
• Manage and develop team capability by overseeing day-to-day activities and task management to maintain a focus on quality, budget, and timelines.
• Lead and motivate the team according to organizational goals, manage and appraise all staff under jurisdiction.
• Deliver the project to meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements by planning, implementing, and delivering the project in accordance with the contract agreed with the sponsor.
• Manage projects in a timely manner in adherence with company policies and procedures, liaising with other departments and project managers as necessary.
• Prepare and manage the overall project budget throughout its life cycle, taking responsibility for cost control, timelines, and project quality.
• Continually review the project contract to ensure that any out-of-scope work is managed promptly and efficiently.

Applicant Requirements

• A BA/BS Degree is preferred, with a background in Management, Biomedical Sciences or Business.
• Thorough working knowledge of MS Teams and MS Project is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
• The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Extensive experience as a project manager.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills are essential.
• Leadership experience in creating and implementing a project plan/roadmap is desired.
• Experience in identifying and mitigating risks for minimal impact on projects is preferred.
• Excellent decision-making, communication, escalation skills, flexibility, organizational skills are required.
• A background in medicine, science or other relevant discipline with appropriate experience is required.
• Appropriate experience and understanding of at least one clinical data management system (e.g. Rave, Oracle Clinical, Clintrial) and a programming language (e.g. SQL, R, SAS) are necessary.
• The ability to successfully lead and manage project team(s) and liaise successfully with sponsors is essential.
• The ability and willingness to travel if required is also necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
