JOB DESCRIPTION
AIM OF THE ROLE:
The Associate Project Manager (APM) will be responsible for managing Customer projects, which will vary in size and complexity, covering the full portfolio of services offered by Redcentric Cloud Services Group (CSG), including IaaS, PaaS, BaaS, Cloud Services, Professional Services and Development/application Services.
The APM will be responsible for managing the process from receipt of the project through to first bill generation and assisting with the transition of the service into Support. Projects may comprise new service/solution requests, transfer/change of service or cessation of service.
The successful candidate will form an integral part of the Cloud Services delivery function. While they will have sole responsibility for their own projects, they will also deliver projects which form part of a larger portfolio of work under direction from other project and programme managers within CSG PMO. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress from a Project Coordinator or Project Support role due to the breath of products and scale of projects the role will be accountable for.
KEY RESPONSILBITIES:
Duties will include, but are not restricted to the following:
Customer satisfaction: You are accountable for the on-time delivery of projects to our customers’ satisfaction and where appropriate the tracking and management of the project budget. To ensure that our business becomes a trusted partner to all the customers we serve.
Delivery & Administration: You will be accountable for ensuring your allocated projects meet the requisite levels of quality and agreed schedules and cost profile, including but not limited to: configuration item (CI) creation and updates, work order creation and resource requests, as needed.
You will ensure project tracking and business applications are updated, including but not limited to: forecasting, project updates and RAG status. You will also contribute to updating current and new business processes.
Initiate & plan: You will be accountable for initiating allocated projects within SLA, following the delivery methodology for initiation, planning, execution and closure.
You will also ensure the sales team provides sufficient information to complete the “Statement of work”, to ensure the business remains effective and efficient in its delivery. Where appropriate, as you develop in your role, you will be accountable for agreeing and documenting project scope, producing project plans, and identifying the available budget.
Resource Management: You are responsible for requesting and assigning the right resource to the right tasks. You will ensure the right stakeholders required to support the project through to successful conclusion are fully engaged.
You are also responsible for correctly updating internal and 3rd party software tools in a timely fashion to enable the operational stakeholders to perform their tasks efficiently.
Delivery & escalation: You will ensure that assigned project resource and key stakeholders deliver their project responsibilities on time. You will ensure items meeting the escalation threshold are escalated using the appropriate escalation method and communication plan. You will support resolution of escalations through to full resolution and client satisfaction. You will ensure key stakeholders, including the customer, are updated within the agreed escalation SLA so that impediments do not detract from on-time delivery
Communication: You will ensure project deliverables, task deadlines and milestones are clearly understood by all stakeholders. To support this, you are accountable for providing accurate written project updates as and when required. These will include but are not limited to; project highlight reports encompassing progress, budget position, risks, issues and actions.
You are responsible for updating internal line of business applications and 3rd party software tools in a timely fashion to enable the operational stakeholders to perform their tasks efficiently. You will ensure customers and key stakeholders remain informed and that project status is reported accurately and transparently so that the business and the customer can be confident of the current project status. You will ensure the project tracker is maintained in order that the business can maintain quality of delivery to the customer.
Data management & reporting: You will produce standard weekly and monthly reporting. You will work with key stakeholders and project delivery teams to develop, build and produce ad-hoc reports as and when required. You will also ensure project forecasts are accurate, updated as necessary and that you are advising of any delay to forecasted revenue.
Wellbeing: You will risk assess the workload of yourself. In conjunction with and support from your Line Manager, you will identity solutions for yourself and support colleagues in times of need.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will be a bright and enthusiastic individual who is dedicated to achieving great results, they will ideally have the following skills, attributes and experience:
Minimum of 12 months project support experience, ideally gained within a managed service organisation, working in project focussed delivery teams
Previous knowledge/experience of delivery in any of the following technologies would be an advantage: IaaS, Cloud Based Services, Professional Services, Development and support
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally
Customer-focused, with experience of managing customer relationships and issues
Professional, positive, confident and friendly
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure within a busy environment and prioritise tasks accordingly
Committed to delivering high quality work with excellent attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills
Sound organisational and administrative skills, with previous proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Data entry and management with any line of business tools although Dynamics 365 would be an advantage
An understanding of Project Management methodologies, e.g., Prince 2, Agile or Hybrid Project Management
