Supply Chain and Planning Coordinator/Administrator
BQP is the largest pig producer in the UK working with over 350 partnership farmers to supply high welfare, quality pork products to premium markets. Part of the Pilgrim's group, we are a totally integrated business and are proud of our ‘farm to fork’ approach. The Agricultural team based at Stradbroke in Suffolk is made up of our team of vets, fields staff, technical and support staff working together to ensure that our supply chain from beginning to end operates within the highest standards of welfare, quality and efficiency.
We are looking to recruit an individual to support and carry out administrative tasks for the Supply Chain and Planning team within the agricultural business. This role would require the job holder to act as a key point of contact, supporting on a day-to-day basis the Supply Chain and Planning Manager as well as providing general administrative support for the team. They will have the opportunity to become involved in key aspects of our business which would include:
- Support with scheduling deliveries to our food processing sites and liaising with site teams
- Producing information to measure supply chain and KPI efficiencies
- Maintaining Database for farm assurance certificates
- Setting up new farmers on the system and updating farm assurance records
- Communicating with farmers to follow up on queries
- Managing pig movement records
We are looking for a collaborative team player who is able to prioritise, enjoys the challenge of working in a busy office environment and has proven written/verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with our farming community and internal teams. You must be analytical, have attention to detail, sound problem solving skills and able to work independently. You must also have experience of working confidently with bespoke computer systems.
