Job Description
The successful Data Project Manager, will be responsible for:
Management, Planning and Organisation of Projects
- Develop and maintain suitable project plans with clear milestones, utilising suitable project management tools to ensure project teams stay on track and reporting is robust
Communication
- Builds cross functional project teams, ensuring all team members are clear on roles and responsibilities, including Product Owners, Service Designers and Technical resources
Engagement and Adoption
- Work with the Business Change Team and other training resources to ensure engagement and adoption are delivered successfully within all projects
Commercial Management
- Effectively plans and manages project resources across throughout planning and delivery, including third party supplier resources, and resources across the business
Reporting
- Create, innovative and visually appealing artefacts for a variety of audiences including customers, colleagues, working groups, steering groups and senior stakeholder groups
The Successful Applicant
The successful Data Project Manager, will have:
Qualifications
- Education to A level Standard or equivalent
- Recognised project management qualifications (i.e. Prince 2, Agile certifications etc)
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of data technologies, data management principles, and data analytics processes
- Understanding of Data Warehouse, Relational Database Management systems, Data Visualisation
- Knowledge of leading workshops and communication through graphic means, for example: workshops to scope, design and agree a solution; playbacks to key audience groups on findings in an informative and visual way
Experience
- Experience in delivering Data or technology projects
- Project Management experience (working within Prince2 methodologies and disciplines) in a multiple project environment
- Familiar with contract negotiation
- Experience of digital project management (or being a member of a project team) where digital solutions are delivered to customer/colleagues
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in project planning, monitoring, and risk management skills
- Excellent negotiation skills confidence to challenge colleagues constructively and highlight possible implications
- Ability to organise and deliver complex projects and programmes of work using various methods including MS Project, Dev Ops, Mural, Miro and other communication/organisation tools
- Excellent numerical and verbal reasoning skills and written communication skills - able to present and communicate in a clear, succinct, and compelling manner, including communication IT delivery issues to non-technical staff
