IT Strategic Project Manager - Software Delivery
Are you interested in managing a number of IT Strategic Projects for a leading FS client?
Candidates can work through their Limited Company for this role.
Based in London/Remote (2-3 days in the office) we have an opportunity for an IT Strategic Project Manager who will be responsible for all stages of the IT project management cycle, from initiation through to project closure.
You will need to ensure the project delivers the agreed outputs within the specified constraints of time, cost and quality. Working with internal stakeholders, 3rd parties and vendors to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of these defined outputs.
You will also work closely with other managers and staff in the IT Department and business areas, developing working relationships to implement the project initiatives, interacting with staff of all levels up to senior management to coordinate and manage work packages, define priorities and deliver the agreed project outputs. This role also acts as a key contact point for the project and manages internal resources and external consultants on project implementations.
You will also manage the Projects budgets, ensuring any over-runs are communicated to the IT Leadership Team, the PMO, project sponsors and governance committees in a timely manner.
Key Skills required:
- Experience with management of external service providers
- Experience with senior business and IT stakeholder management
- Demonstrated end-to-end management of Software delivery
- Experience working with procurement and internal service teams
- 5-10+ years project management experience
- Financial services experience
- Experience with Agile project delivery methods and principles
- Experience in systems replacement, e.g. SAP. Knowledge of the trading processes, especially limits management is a distinct advantage
