What’s in it for you?
This is an exciting opportunity where you will have visibility across the whole of Octopus Investments, working on exciting change projects and being part of the growth strategy and future success of Octopus. You’ll perform project reviews, and analyse the results so that the most important areas are clearly identified, reported upon, and the required actions are completed in a timely manner.
The team:
The Senior Project Manager role sits within the Project Delivery Team reporting into the Strategy Lead. This team sits across the business supporting all projects. In a team of project managers, it is anticipated that this role will be acting as one of the most senior PMs, and you’ll have the opportunity to influence and coach others in the team, it will also involve working collaboratively with the Business Analyst team.
What will you be doing?
- Plan for, budget and deliver projects and programmes that could be strategic, regulatory or technical in nature.
- Manage complex operating model and core platform systems changes with multiple workstreams and numerous internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong rapport with the business across all departments and levels (including C suite) as appropriate, executing great communication to ensure projects are delivered both to a high standard and on time in a fast-changing environment.
- Work closely with BA’s and SMEs to analyse and present the pros and cons of alternative solutions, to ensure the best outcome for Octopus.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Financial Services experience
- PRINCE 2 and/or Agile training qualification.
- Broad understanding of financial markets, regulation and industry trends.
- Have a solid grasp of project management principles and experience successfully applying and advancing those principles.
- Be able to adapt to either a waterfall or agile approach.
