Are you passionate about delivering change? Are you an experienced project professional with lots of real experiences of project delivery? Then we would love to hear from you!

About the role
Macmillan Cancer Support is on a journey. With a re-invigorated Corporate Change team, we are on the search for project managers to help us deliver change.

We are looking for Project Managers to lead the delivery of strategic projects as part of a corporate portfolio of change that will enable Macmillan to achieve its purpose to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.

The Project Manager will scope, plan and implement projects, supporting Sponsors and co-ordinating project teams of subject matter experts from across the charity to deliver change. Using accredited project management principles, they will lead projects from initiation to implementation and handover to the business, working within Macmillan’s corporate project management framework.

About you
You will be an experienced Project Manager with an industry standard qualification. You will have experience of delivering projects in a large organisation, with a track record of delivery to time, cost and quality parameters. You will be skilled at managing complexity and uncertainty, resolving issues and maintaining focus on outcomes.

You will have strong stakeholder management and communication skills. You will be a diversity champion, with experience of creating an inclusive project team where all are valued for their unique contribution.

About us
We are striving to do everything we can to ensure that our workforce is representative of the people we support, and those who support us. We advocate for being an inclusive organisation, where everyone can feel that they belong and where there are no barriers to success.

We welcome applications from everyone who meet the criteria and strongly encourage individuals to apply who have a disability, impairment or health condition or individuals who identify as Black, Asian or from another minority ethnic background, as these groups are currently under-represented at Macmillan. Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy here along with our internal employee representation body, ‘Our Voice’ and 8 Employee Network groups help us promote fairness and belonging, becoming an engaged and inclusive organisation for all our people.

We want to make our recruitment processes accessible to everyone, so if there is any way that we can support you to be the best you can be, please contact the Macmillan People Services Team at [email protected] for advice and recruitment adjustments.

Recruitment Process
The application deadline is Sunday 26th February 2023 with virtual interviews aiming to be held w/c 6th March (but may be subject to change).

In order to ensure fairness and consistency to select the best candidate for this role, all of our applications are anonymised up until an interview has been confirmed so that shortlisting is based solely upon the suitability of the candidate’s experience.

Please submit your application as soon as possible as we reserve the right to change the closing date of our vacancies.
