Role Profile
An exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join Lloyd’s List Intelligence. We are a customer-focused business with smart and committed people who love working within a collaborative, fast-paced and flexible environment.
The Project Manager role is part of the PMO and is responsible for supporting the whole business with their ongoing growth projects, focussed on commercial excellence and data and product development. Typical tasks will include coordinating project schedules, issues and budget and ensuring reporting on the current status of projects to key stakeholders to ensure projects stay on track.
This a 12-month fixed term contract and will report into the Programme Lead and will work cross-functionally with all levels and teams across the organisations.
This role is balanced working model between home and our modern and centrally located UK office on London’s Southbank, with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the whole global business to help deliver projects on time, to scope and budget
- Managing and controlling project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for concurrently running projects
- Communicating projects progress to team members and other stakeholders
- Tracking and communicating risks, issue, and opportunities
- Assisting and supporting the Programme Manager on all ongoing projects
- Maintaining project documentation, such as plans and reports
- Delegating tasks to project team members
- Preparing presentations to update progress on projects
- Organising project team meetings and recording actions
- Tracking project costs and ensuring budget tracking
What we are looking for:
Essential
- At least 2 years’ experience of managing projects in a largely autonomous way
- Proven experience using project management tools such as MS Project, with prior knowledge of project management methodologies and structure
- Excellent level of time management and organisational skills
- Good degree of computer literacy and being able to work with MS office packages
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Communicates effectively in informal and formal settings. Listens and shares information and ideas with others. Composes clear, concise written communication
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously; a hands-on operational approach to get the job done
- Builds rapport and works effectively with a diverse range of people, immediate team, sharing knowledge and skills to deliver shared goals.
- Inner drive to do things better, meets or exceeds goals and continuous improvements. Works with energy and enthusiasm to deliver high quality results. Pays attention to detail and quality.
- Adjusts to changing demands and circumstances; remains calm, objective and in control in stressful situations
Desirable
- Prior experience working within the B2B information services industry or/and the Maritime sector
- Previous experience delivering project management training
