The Opportunity
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Digital and IT PMO Manager. The Digital and IT PMO Manager plays a critical role in supporting and governing IT delivery. The role will be responsible for developing and overseeing the IT delivery framework and methodologies, working closely with the Head of IT Business Management and Head of Programme Delivery.

The role is hybrid with the normal onsite place of work being our Bristol office (or negotiable to some other Leonardo sites), so we can work as a team when required. Some travel to other UK sites may also be required occasionally.

What you will do
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine governance and reporting of the Delivery Portfolios.
- Drives the proactive review of all Delivery portfolios on an on-going basis, driving quality and accuracy from the delivery teams.
- Sets the framework for risk, issue and dependency management across the portfolio, ensuring that the IT Leadership Team (ITLT) are sighted on key points for escalation in a timely fashion.
- Ensures and assures the production of cross-functional accurate, transparent, and quality management information, which can be utilised for key decision making by the ITLT and the UK Management Committee.
- Coordinates delivery of resource planning and strategic capacity planning.
- Supports Supplier Management, focussed on effective project delivery.
- Provides accurate reporting of delivery performance, savings and KPIs.
- Oversees, mentors and professionally develops all assigned PMO and Programme Support staff.
- Leads development of PMO tooling and best practice.
- Deputise for the Head of IT Business Management when required.

What we are looking for
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in programme management, preferably within IT and the Aerospace/Defence sector.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement and leading change initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- APMP or PRINCE 2 certification is desirable
- Well organised, with a focus on consistently delivering on commitments and the ability to work under tight timeframes and multi-task effectively.
- Ability to lead and motivate small teams to deliver sustained high performance.
- Skilled at communicating with clarity and credibility to diverse set of audiences
- A high level of competency in MS Office Applications and ideally JIRA.
- Ability to produce high quality presentation materials and committee papers.
