Job description

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our UK Power Network Alliance team to work on projects within the Southern & Eastern Region and based at the Bury St Edmunds office. Location: Working from our Bury St Edmonds office and sites. An element of remote working is available.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know.

Salary: Upto £65k doe + Company Car / Allowance


Responsibilities

As a Project Manager working within energy-based utilities, you’ll manage and oversee the work of your team delivering projects ranging from £500k to £10m, such as cable, overhead line, and substation infrastructure projects.


Your day to day will include:

  • Developing outline schemes into deliverable projects including programmes, costings and feasibility studies, providing regular reports and any other functions as required by UKPN
  • Managing all interfaces between Stakeholders from within and outside UKPN and Alliance partners
  • Managing the delivery of developed schemes, ensuring resources are in place and aligned in delivering milestones and investment plans as well as any regulatory outputs or customer energisation dates

Who are we looking for?


This role of Project Manager is great for you if you:

  • Have and Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent all with a Project Management bias
  • Able to develop projects from concept through design and construction to completion efficiently, adding value throughout the process
  • Knowledge and experience of project management techniques and, the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Project and Outlook)
