About the Opportunity
These are exciting times to be involved in the water sector with major programmes of work to be delivered across the water and wastewater asset base in the years ahead. The water industry is facing some of the greatest challenges and change required since privatisation to deliver enhanced customer and environmental outcomes and wider socio-economic benefits.
We are working with partners to help shape the future of asset management, investment planning and delivery. We provide end-to-end technical and asset planning support to help deliver best customer value, manage risk and meet affordability requirements.
Jacobs has secured multiple long term framework contracts with water industry clients in the UK, Ireland and across the Globe. We are seeking skilled people to join our water team and deliver on these fantastic opportunities in the water industry and beyond.
We are seeking engineers with a Project Management background who are looking to grow their careers in exciting new ways. Specifically, we have current opportunities to join our growing team in the north east of England, with vacancies at all levels based in either our Stockton or Newcastle offices.
There are opportunities to support the delivery of programmes and projects at various stages in the project lifecycle. Our water projects have sustainability at their core and are outcome driven to protect the environment, reduce flood risk, improve water supplies and add value to our local communities.
Working on technically interesting projects both regionally and nationally from a northeast base also provides excellent opportunities for personal and professional development at all stages in your career. Successful candidates will join a global team of water professionals, working on a range of high-profile projects and become a part of a world leading company with excellent career prospects.
Here’s What You’ll Need:- Relevant educational base and demonstratable evidence of working toward or have achieved professional accreditation with a recognised Professional Institution.
- Some experience in one or more of the following areas: Water and/or wastewater networks; Water and/or wastewater treatment works; Bioresources; Hydraulics; Mass water conveyance.
- Enthusiasm to resolve problems and enjoy working as part of a large multi-national company.
- Worked within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proactive with a keenness to help strengthen client relationships and contribute to the growth of our business.
